Just A Few More Pics...Buenos Noches from Nicaragua

We´re here at an internet cafe in Leon, Nicaragua and Kyle is busy typing away like a madman beside me...should be a killer post if he continues to live up to his growing blogmaster reputation, I know he will.

I thought I´d just upload a few more pics below because that´s what you want anyways, right???

This would be one of the many reasons they tell you to never, ever, ever drive at night in these countries. More reasons include Horses, Donkies, Cows, Dogs and just about any other type of animal that comes to mind. You never know what you´re going to find turning a corner down here.

A view of the rooftops from our hotel in Copa Ruinas, Honduras. Pretty amazing City.

Antigua, Guatemala. This would be a much more hardcore photo if there wasn´t a bunch of tourists standing around. I don´t know what these guys were doing really, but thats a very real Machine Gun mounted to the bed of that truck with a huge clip of bullets hanging off.

This was our Tuk-Tuk ride from Copa Ruinas to the hotsprings, an hour long ride over a rough road in a little 125cc cart with bad suspension. We had the option of riding our motorcycles to the hotsprings but the driver, Gregorio, was an awesome guy and let us drink cervezas in the back. He also let us practice (butcher) our spanish on him the whole way. It was a lot of fun.

This is the view driving into Nicaragua today. This is obviously an active volcano but I´m not sure which one yet. I have some reading to do...

I´m sure Kyle will tell you about the craziness that is Honduras. Absolutely beautiful country but it´s full of cowboys. Everyone (including women) carries protection of some sort. Some people prefer larger machetes while others pack serious heat. These guys worked at our hotel that we stayed at in Danli, Honduras and were packing a couple .38´s for some reason or another. Really nice couple of gents though, even let me take their picture!

Here´s Kyle with a sweet stand-up pose on a gravel road coming into Nicaragua today. The roads in Nicaragua have been a little challenging, but I´m feeling pretty stoked to be here because it already seems like one of the standout countries of our trip. Our plan more or less for Central America has been to spend a few extra days in both Nicaragua and Guatemala because we´ve heard great things about both. Our trip time of 3 months unfortunately doesn´t leave us much time to hang around any city for too long, and also limits us to hitting a few cities in each Country. It is more of a exploration trip if you will, and we are definitely making notes on which places are worth coming back to.
